Modern medicine has been operating in recent decades within an extremely detailed and highly demanding regulatory framework, covering every single field of interest, from genetic testing and the introduction of innovative therapies, to clinical trials and research in precision medicine and biomedicine.

The scope, the astonishing expectations, and the potential risks of innovative applications that are constantly seeing the light of day push both international organisations and national legislators to continuously produce rules and control mechanisms, the good knowledge of which guarantees safe activity in both research and clinical applications, with new products and methods.

At BioMedLex, we seek to provide accurate information on the legal and ethical dimensions of modern medicine and to provide expert advice, particularly with regard to innovative therapies and biomedical research, meeting an obvious need for the development of initiatives by the scientific community.

BioMedLex AMKE is an interdisciplinary, non-profit association. Its partners are legal and scientific experts, with specific training and experience both in Greece and abroad. It operates under the coordination of Dr. T.C. Vidalis, a senior researcher of the Hellenic National Commission for Bioethics & Technoethics and an expert in the European Commission on relevant issues.
