Ηelen Rethymiotaki has studied in Law School of NKUA. She has obtained her PhD concerning medical deontology and bioethics from a perspective of Sociology of Law in Paris II. Ιn 2017 she became Associate Professor in Law School of NKUA . She has chaired Greek National Bioethics Committee (2017-2021) and she is chairing Ethics Committee of the N.C.S.R. She also teaches at postgraduate programs of bioethics and applied ethics, of science, technology and their communication and digital technology & E.U.’ law. Her work focuses on Bioethics as governance of biomedicine and relevant ethical, political and legal questions. She has also studied European Union as a post-national combination of Law with Politics and complex entanglement of multiple legal orders. She has edited a collective work about feminism and the law and a monography about new sociolegal forms of companionship and parenthood in Greece. Her work in progress concerns social transformations and legal or ethical questions of digital technology.
