Dionysis Vourtsis

Dionysis Vourtsis is Council Member of the European Biosafety Association (EBSA), Communications and Project Officer and approved proctor for the delivery of professional certification examinations worldwide at the International Federation of Biosafety Associations (IFBA) and General Secretary of the Hellenic Biosafety Society (HBS).

Mr. Vourtsis acting as Biomedical Laboratory Scientist at the Hellenic Primary Health Care System. His duties include quality assurance, establishing service operation workflow charts, instrument maintenance, laboratory supply chain management, education coordinator and performing advanced procedures in the biomedical laboratory.

Over the past several years, he has also committed his time to promote biosafety, biosecurity and biorisk management within laboratories globally, including professional certification, continuing education and professional development through lectures, publications, social media and e-learning programs.

He is currently studying in the MSc program: Bioeconomy, Biotechnology and Law at the International Hellenic University.
